4-12. DAY SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
6. CAPACITOR ASSEMBLY A20
REPLACEMENT
WARNING
Before performing maintenance/repair,
discharge all high-voltage capacitors (para
2-4).
REMOVAL
a. Cut lacing and tying tape (1) and
disconnect connectors A20J1 (2), from
1A5W1P15 and A20J2 (3), from
1A5W1P16.
b. Cut lacing and tying tape securing capacitor
assembly A20 (4) wires to wire bundle (5).
c. Remove capacitor assembly A20 (4) by
removing four screws (6), washers (7), and
spacers (8).
INSTALLATION
d. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from mounting hardware
(para 2-6).
e. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound to mounting hardware
(para 2-6). Use class 1A application.
f. Install capacitor assembly A20 (4) using
four screws (6), washers (7), and spacers
(8).
g. Install lacing and tying tape as required to
secure capacitor assembly wires to wire
bundle (5).
h. Connect connectors A20J1 (2) to
1A5W1P16 and A20J2 (3) to 1A5W1P15.
i. Secure connectors A20J1 (2) and A20J2
(3) with lacing and tying tape (1).
j. Have installation inspected.
