5. LAMP ASSEMBLY DS1 REPLACEMENT
WARNING
HALOGEN LAMP
Lamp is pressurized and may shatter If
mishandled. Avoid scratches, abrasions, skin
contact, and rough handling. Safety goggles
and gloves are required.
REMOVAL
a. Cut Iacing and tying tape (1) from
connectors J1 2) and P3 (3).
b. Disconnect connector J1 (2) from
connector P3 (3).
c. Remove lampholder bracket (4) by
removing two screws (5).
d. Remove lamp assembly DS1 (6) and shim
(7) by removing four screws (8).
INSTALLATION
e. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from mounting hardware
(para 2-6).
f. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound to mounting hardware
(para 2-6). Use class 1A application.
g. Install shim (7) and lamp assembly DS1 (6)
on lampholder bracket (4) using four
screws (8).
h. Install lampholder bracket (4) using two
screws (5).
i. Connect connector J1 (2) to connector P3
(3).
j. Install lacing and tying tape (1) to secure
connectors.
