4-12. DAY SENSOR SUBASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
2. THERMOSTATIC SWITCH ASSEMBLY A16
OR A17 REPLACEMENT
NOTE
This procedure is for replacing thermostatic
switch assembly A17 (5) and can also be used
for replacing thermostatic switch assembly
A16 (6).
REMOVAL
a. Cut lacing and tying tape (1) securing
connectors of defective thermostatic switch.
b. Disconnect connector J1 (2) from
connector P11 (3).
c. Cut lacing and tying tape securing
thermostatic switch assembly A17 (4) wires
to wire bundle.
d. Remove thermostatic switch assembly A17
(4) by removing two screws (5).
INSTALLATION
e. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from mounting hardware
(para 2-6).
f. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound to mounting hardware
(para 2-6). Use class 1A application.
g. Install thermostatic switch assembly A17
(4) using two screws (5).
h. Install lacing and tying tape to secure
thermostatic switch assembly A17 (4) wires
to wire bundle.
i. Connect connector J1 (2) to connector P11
(3).
j. Install lacing and tying tape to secure
connectors.
