INSTALLATION
Install the pump assembly (WP 0002 00, Figure 1, Item 13) on the foot assembly (WP 0002 00, Figure 1, Item

12) and secure the clamp assembly (WP 0002 00, Figure 1, Item 14).
Couple the hose assembly to the pump.

Fill the reservoir with oil (WP 0009 00) and check the hydraulic system for leaks (WP 0011 00).

ADJUSTMENT
Screw the safety valve assembly down until the spring bottoms in the valve.

Install the reservoir as described in assembly above and ll with oil (WP 0009 00).

Place the pump in a holding xture or secure to a bench and attach a 5,000 psi pressure gage to the outlet at

the bottom of the pump.
Tightly close the release valve and open the air vent at the top of the reservoir. Actuate the handle to force

uid against pressure gage to check setting of relief valve. Relief valve should actuate between 2,200 and
2,400 psi.
Remove the pump from the reservoir and set the safety valve to operate in a similar manner at 1,950 to 2,150
5.
psi.
TESTING
Set the jack up under a 5-ton load as directed in (WP 0005 00).

Operate the pump, fully extending the ram until pump bypass pressure is reached. Hold pressure against

the load not less than fteen minutes. There should be no apparent settling.
