DISASSEMBLY
Slip the pump handle (Figure 1, Item 1) out of the pump handle socket (Figure 1, Item 2). Pull the pin assembly

(Figure 1, Item 15) and remove the pump handle socket (Figure 1, Item 2) from the pump body (Figure 1,
Item 18). Remove the pump piston pin (Figure 1, Item 4) and the piston pin roller (Figure 1, Item 39) from
the socket. Remove the two screws (Figure 1, Item 14) that secure the chain (Figure 1, Item 16) to the pin
assembly (Figure 1, Item 15).
Remove the 90-degree elbow (Figure 1, Item 34) from the pump body. Remove the vent assembly (Figure 1,

Item 29) and the plug (Figure 1, Item 27) and invert the pump assembly to drain the oil.
Remove the two screws (Figure 1, Item 5), four screws (Figure 1, Item 17) and six lockwashers (Figure 1,

Item 3) that secure the pump reservoir (Figure 1, Item 26) and pump body gasket (Figure 1, Item 25) to the
pump body (Figure 1, Item 18) and remove the reservoir and gasket.
Remove the two screws (Figure 1, Item 10) and chain (Figure 1, Item 11) from the pump piston (Figure 1,

Remove the pump snap ring (Figure 1, Item 8), pump wiper (Figure 1, Item 7), pump packing wiper nut

body.
Remove the safety valve assembly (Figure 1, Item 32) and the relief valve assembly (Figure 1, Item 33) from

DEGREASING SOLVENT, MIL-PRF-680
Degreasing solvent, MIL-PRF-680, is combustible and toxic to eyes, skin and respiratory tract.
Wear protective gloves and goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use
only in well ventilated areas (or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial
hygiene personnel). Keep away from open ames or other sources of ignition.
Clean all parts and ush out all oil passages with Cleaning Solvent . Dry thoroughly with compressed air and a
lint-free cloth.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
1.
Replace the preformed packing, backup ring and gasket.
2.
Replace a damaged screen.
