SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIEL
UNPACKING
CAUTION
Exercise care in removal of the crate top to prevent damaging the equipment with the prying
tool.
1.
Pry the top from the sides of the crate and remove the jack and its allied parts from the crate.
WARNING
DEGREASING SOLVENT, MIL-PRF-680
Degreasing solvent, MIL-PRF-680, is combustible and toxic to eyes, skin and respiratory tract.
Wear protective gloves and goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use
only in well ventilated areas (or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial
hygiene personnel). Keep away from open ames or other sources of ignition.

Remove the pressure-sensitive tape from all sealed openings. Clean preservatives from all unpainted metal
surfaces with Cleaning Solvent .
CHECKING UNPACKED EQUIPMENT
NOTE
On used equipment, pay particular attention to the components which may be worn through use.
Such as the extension screw (WP 0002 00, Figure 1, Item 2) , foot assemblies (WP 0002 00,
Figure 1, Item 12) or hose assembly (WP 0015 00, Figure 1, Item 6). Correct or report all
deciencies to proper authority.
1.
Perform the BEFORE operating service described in (WP 0011 00, Preventive Maintenance Checks and
Services (PMCS)).
2.
Make a thorough visual inspection of the equipment for cracks, breaks, distortion and loose or missing parts.
3.
Inspect all parts and assemblies for correct and secure mountings.
