14. SHOCK PAD REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Remove night filter assembly, 16 below.
b. Remove damaged shock pad (1) by cutting
and scraping with knife.
INSTALLATION
c. Prepare control panel assembly (2) by
roughening surface contact area with 180
grit abrasive paper.
d. Apply adhesive sealing compound to both
contact surfaces (2 and 3) (para 2-6).
e. Install night filter assembly (4), 16 below.
f. Press new shock pad (1) to control panel
assembly (2).
g. Ensure night filter (4) moves properly.
h. Tape shock pad (1) to control panel
assembly (2).
CURE
i. Remove tape after curing for 24 hours at 67
to 87°F.
