9. SWITCH S9 OR S10 REPLACEMENT
NOTE
This procedure is for replacing switch S9 (1)
and can also be used for replacing switch S10
(6).
REMOVAL
a. Remove HOD assembly (1 above).
NOTE
Switches S9 and S10 are mounted using
modified keyway washers. These keyway
washers must be retained for use with
replacement switches (6).
b. Remove switch S9 (1) from housing by
removing jamnut (2), lockwasher (3), and
keyway washer (4).
c. Pull switch S9 (1) free of housing. Retain
keyway washer (4).
d. Cut lacing and tying tape as necessary to
provide enough wire slack for component
replacement.
e. Tag and unsolder wires (5).
INSTALLATION
f. Solder wire leads (5) to switch (1) and
remove tags.
g. Install switch S9 (1) with keyway washer
(4), lockwasher (3), and jamnut (2). Ensure
that modified keyway washer seats in notch
on control panel housing.
h. Install lacing and tying tape as required to
secure wire bundle.
i. Have installation inspected.
j. Install HOD assembly (1 above).
