PREPARATION FOR MOVEMENT
If the Maintenance Platform is to be moved a short distance, it can be towed with the hitch. Long distance moving
necessitates loading the unit on a carrier (WP 0012 00).
1.
Secure the upper structure assembly (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item 4) to the base assembly (WP 0012 00,
Figure 1, Item 10) with the two snap fasteners (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item 18).
2.
Raise the two immobilizing jacks (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item 13).
3.
Attach the hitch (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item 9) to the towtube (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item 15) with two bolts
and nuts.
After the movement is complete, the hold down straps (WP 0022 00, Figure 1, Item 39) must be released. Re-
move the two bolts securing the hitch (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item 9) to the towtube (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item
15) and store the bar in the tube.
OPERATING PROCEDURES
WARNING
Do not operate Maintenance Platform with more than 500 pounds on the platform.
UPPER STRUCTURE ASSEMBLY
Raising.
WARNING
Never use the Maintenance Platform unless the two immobilizing jacks are in position and the
hydraulic cylinder safety lock is installed.
1.
Place the Maintenance Platform in the desired location and depress the lever (WP 0023 00, Figure 1, Item 1)
of the immobilizing jacks to the locked position.
2.
Close the by-pass valve (WP 0004 00, Figure 1, Item 6) by turning the handle in clockwise direction.
