6-5. BRANCHED CABLE ASSEMBLY W1 REPAIR
This task covers replacement of P1, P2, or P3 contacts.

P1, P2, OR P3 CONTACT REPLACEMENT
NOTE
• This procedure is for replacing contacts for
connector P1 (2) and can also be used for
replacing contacts of connectors P2 or P3.
• If replacing connector P3 contacts, go to
step b.
REMOVAL
a. Remove cover (1) from connector P1 (2) by
turning counterclockwise.
b. Loosen two screws (3) to open jaws of
backshell (4).
c. Unscrew backshell (4) by turning
counterclockwise from the connector (2)
and slide backshell (4), packing (5), and
seal ring (6) up cable (7) for access to
contacts.
d. Remove faulty contacts (para 2-5).
