4-45. LASER ELECTRONICS UNIT (LEU) HARNESS ASSEMBLY W1 REPAIR (cont)
7. FILTER FL10 OR FL12
NOTE
This procedure is for replacing filter FL10 and
can also be used for replacing filter FL12.
REMOVAL
a. Remove LEU harness assembly W1 (1
above).
b. Slide sleeving (1) to access solder joint on
filter FL10 (2). Remove spot ties and
clamps as necessary.
c. Tag and unsolder wires (3) to filter F1 (2).
d. Remove nut (4) and washer (5) securing
filter FL10 (2) to filter bank (6) and remove
filter F10 (2).
INSTALLATION
e. Remove old sealing, locking, and retaining
compound from hardware (para 2-6).
f. Apply sealing, locking, and retaining
compound to new filter (2) and hardware
(para 2-6).
g. Install new filter (2) in filter bank (6) with
washer (5) and nut (4).
h. Solder wires (3) to filter (2) and remove
tags.
