4-45. LASER ELECTRONICS UNIT (LEU) HARNESS ASSEMBLY W1 REPAIR (cont)
11. ELAPSED TIME INDICATOR (ETI) M1
REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
NOTE
Elapsed time Indicator M1 is being eliminated.
This procedure applies to harness assemblies
built with M1 attached.
a. Remove LEU harness assembly M1 (1
above).
b. Remove elapsed time Indicator M1 (1) from
filter bank (2) by removing two capscrews
(3) and washers (4).
c. Remove wire harness clamps and spot ties
as necessary to access wiring to ETI M1
(1).
d. Tag and unsolder four wires (5) from ETI
M1 (1). Wire numbers are 9367, 9368,
9478, and 9578.
e. Splice wire 9368 to 9578 and 9367 to 9478.
(1) Slide 1 inch of appropriate size heat
shrinkable, MIL-I-23053/5, class 1,
white, over ends of wire 9367 and
9368.
(2) Strip 0.25 inch of insulation from end of
four wires (5).
(3) J-hook and solder wire 9368 to 9578
and 9367 to 9478.
(4) Slide sleeving over each soldered area
and shrink in place. Ensure sleeving
extends a minimum of 0.25 inch
beyond both ends of each soldered
area.
f. Secure spliced wires (5) to adjacent wiring
using lacing and tying tape.
g. Discard ETI M1 (1), two capscrews (3), and
washers (4) in accordance with TM 1-1270-
476-23P.
INSTALLATION
h. Install LEU harness assembly W1 (1
above).
