4-42. TADS POWER SUPPLY ASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
5. ELAPSED TIME INDICATOR DS1 OR
COVER REPLACEMENT
NOTE
Elapsed time indicator DS1 is being eliminated
and replaced by a cover. This procedure
applies only to a TADS power supply built with
DS1 or cover installed.
REMOVAL
a. Remove power components assembly (3
above).
b. Remove elapsed time indicator DS1 (1) or
cover (2) from chassis (3) by removing two
screws (4 or 5), washers (6 or 7), and
locknuts (8).
c. Unsolder wires (9) from elapsed time
indicator DS1 (1).
d. Insulate unsoldered wires (9) using
insulation sleeving. Ensure that tubing
extends a minimum of 0.25 inch beyond
ends of wires (9).
e. Secure insulated wires (9) to adjacent
wiring or chassis (3) using lacing and tying
tape.
f. Discard elapsed time indicator DS1 (1), two
screws (4) and washers (6) in accordance
with TM 1-1270-476-23P. Retain locknuts
(4) for cover installation.
INSTALLATION
g. Install cover (2) using two screws (5),
washers (7), and locknuts (8).
h. Have installation inspected.
