3. POWER COMPONENTS ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
CAUTION
This assembly contains electrostatic discharge
sensitive (ESDS) devices. Refer to paragraph
2-8 for handling requirements before starting
this task, to prevent damage to the devices.
REMOVAL
a. Tag and remove CCA A1, A3, and A5 (2
above).
b. Remove screws (1), (2), and (3),
lockwashers (4), and washers (5).
CAUTION
Use care when sliding chassis off power
components assembly to keep from damaging
equipment.
c. Slide chassis (6) up just enough to gain
access to two screwlocks (7) under plastic
shield (8).
d. Disconnect connector P1 (9) from
connector J1 (10) by pulling plastic shield
(8) away from top of connector P1 (9) and
loosening two screwlocks (7).
e. Remove chassis (6) from power
components assembly (11).
INSTALLATION
f. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from mounting hardware
(para 2-6).
