4. FORWARD OR AFT PLATE COVER
ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
NOTE
This procedure is for replacing aft plate cover
assembly (2). This procedure can also be used
to replace forward plate cover assembly (3).
REMOVAL
a. Remove day sensor shroud support
assembly (3 above).
b. Remove aft plate cover assembly (1) by
removing 12 screws (2).
INSTALLATION
c. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from aft plate cover
assembly mounting hardware (para 2-6).
d. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound to screws (2) (para 2-6).
Use class 1A application. Apply to each
screw just before installing.
e. Install aft plate cover assembly (1) with 12
screws (2). Torque screws to 30 in-lb.
f. Install day sensor shroud support assembly
(3 above).
