3. DAY SENSOR SHROUD SUPPORT
ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Position azimuth gimbal assembly (1) so
that day sensor shroud support assembly
(2) is facing forward (1 above).
b. Remove connector J8 (3) from shroud
support assembly bracket (4) by removing
two nuts (5), lockwashers (6), four washers
(7), and two screwlock posts (8).
c. Cut lacing and tying tape (9) holding day
sensor wire harness and rubber cushion
(10) to mounting plate (11). Replace a
damaged rubber cushion.
d. Remove six screws (12) and washers (13)
securing day sensor side harness cable
cover (14).
NOTE
The day sensor harness cable assembly is
secured to the day sensor harness cable cover
with lacing and tying tape. When screws are
removed, the harness and harness cover will
hang in place.
e. Remove cushion clamp (15) or mounting
plate (16) by removing screw (17) and
washer (18).
f. Remove three bonding strap assemblies
(19) by removing screws (20), Iockwashers
(21), small washers (22), and large
washers (23).
