Make an alinement mark (34) on each gear
where elevation drive gear (5) and
elevation spur gear (35) mesh.
CAUTION
The seal between the night sensor shroud
support assembly and inner gimbal assembly
is fragile. Use care not to damage the seal
when removing shroud support assembly.
k. Remove night sensor shroud support
assembly (2) by removing the remaining
eight mounting screws (36) and washers
(37).
CAUTION
Seal and elevation bearing shim must be
handled with care to prevent bending or
crimping.

Remove seal (38) and elevation bearing
shim (39) and set aside in a safe place.
INSTALLATION
m. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from all mounting
hardware (para 2-6).
