REMOVAL
1.
Remove the four bolts (WP 0024 00, Figure 1, Item 19 and 20) attaching the caster (WP 0024 00, Figure 1,
Item 18) to the base assembly.
2.
Remove the other caster in the same manner.
CLEANING
WARNING
CLEANING SOLVENT MIL-PRF-680
Is combustible and toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Wear protective gloves and
goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use only in well ventilated areas
(or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial hygiene personnel). Keep
away from open ames or other sources of ignition.
Wash the casters in Cleaning Compound, Solvent.
TEST AND INSPECTION
1.
Inspect the casters for cut tires, at spots on tires, excessive wear on bearings and cracked wheels.
2.
Replace a defective caster.
INSTALLATION
Position the swivel caster on the base assembly and secure with four bolts (WP 0024 00, Figure 1, Item 19 and
20).
LUBRICATION
Lubricate every 60 days with Grease, Aircraft and Instrument.
