REMOVAL CONTINUED
3.
Remove the eight bolts (Figure 1, Item 3), lockwashers (Figure 1, Item 7) and nuts (Figure 1, Item 8) securing
the rims together. Remove the tire and tube.
4.
Remove the grease cap (Figure 1, Item 9), cotter pin (Figure 1, Item 11) and castellated nut (Figure 1, Item
10) attaching hub body to the axle and remove the hub body.
5.
Remove the bearing washer (Figure 1, Item 12), roller bearing inner race (Figure 1, Item 13) and roller
bearing outer race (Figure 1, Item 14) from the hub body.
6.
Remove the roller bearing outer race (Figure 1, Item 16), roller bearing inner race (Figure 1, Item 17) and
dust seal (Figure 1, Item 18) from the hub body (Figure 1, Item 15).

Is combustible and toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Wear protective gloves and
goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use only in well ventilated areas
(or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial hygiene personnel). Keep
away from open ames or other sources of ignition.
Wash all metal parts in Cleaning Compound, Solvent.
TEST AND INSPECTION
1.
Inspect the tires for wear and breaks. Inspect the wheel bearings for wear and rough spots. Inspect the dust
seal for serviceability. Inspect the wheel rims for cracks and breaks. Inspect the tube for holes and leaky
valve.
2.
Replace any defective parts.
INSTALLATION
1.
Pack the inner roller bearing race (Figure 1, Item 17) with Grease, Aircraft and Instrument and install the dust
seal (Figure 1, Item 18), roller bearing outer race (Figure 1, Item 16) and roller bearing inner race (Figure 1,
Item 17) in the hub body (Figure 1, Item 15).
2.
Pack the outer roller bearing race (Figure 1, Item 14) with Grease, Aircraft and Instrument and install the hub
bearing (Figure 1, Item 15), roller bearing outer race (Figure 1, Item 14), roller bearing inner race (Figure 1,
Item 13), and bearing washer (Figure 1, Item 12) on the axle assembly.
3.
Install the castellated nut (Figure 1, Item 10) and tighten until snug, then back off one castellation of the nut.
Secure with the cotter pin (Figure 1, Item 11). Install the grease cap (Figure 1, Item 9).
4.
Position the axle assembly (Figure 1, Item 19) on the base assembly and secure with four bolts and nuts.
5.
Place the tube in the tire with the valve stem of the tube through the outer rim (Figure 1, Item 4).
6.
Position the inner rim (Figure 1, Item 6) to the outer rim and secure with eight bolts (Figure 1, Item 3),
lockwashers (Figure 1, Item 7) and nuts (Figure 1, Item 8).
7.
Position the tire and rim on the hub body and secure with ve lockwashers (Figure 1, Item 2) and nuts (Figure
1, Item 1).
8.
Inate tire to recommended pressure and check for leaks.
LUBRICATION
Lubricate every 60 days with Grease, Aircraft and Instrument.
