CLEANING
WARNING
CLEANING SOLVENT MIL-PRF-680
Is combustible and toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Wear protective gloves and
goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use only in well ventilated areas
(or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial hygiene personnel). Keep
away from open ames or other sources of ignition.
Flush the hydraulic reservoir with Cleaning Compound, Solvent and dry thoroughly.
TEST AND INSPECTION
Inspect the reservoir for cracks, holes, and broken weldments.
SERVICE
1.
Remove the drain plug (WP 0012 00, Figure 1, Item 16) from the end of the uid reservoir (WP 0012 00,
Figure 1, Item 17) and drain the hydraulic uid into a suitable container.
2.
Rell the reservoir to a level up to a point one inch below the ller neck.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
Drain and ush the reservoir and reweld any broken weldments. Weld small cracks and holes.
LUBRICATION
Lubricate every 60 days with Hydraulic Fluid, Petroleum Based.
