REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the return tube assembly (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 7) from the elbow (WP 0016 00, Figure 1,
Item 21).
2.
Disconnect the by-pass tube assembly (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 1) from the elbow (WP 0016 00, Figure
1, Item 16).
3.
Remove the two screws (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 17), lockwashers (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 19),
and nuts (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 20) securing the by-pass valve (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 18) to the
bracket.
4.
Remove the elbows (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 16 and 21) from the valve.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
1.
Replace unserviceable parts as authorized.
2.
Replace a defective valve.
TEST AND INSPECTION
Inspect the valve for broken or cracked housing.

Is combustible and toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Wear protective gloves and
goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use only in well ventilated areas
(or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial hygiene personnel). Keep
away from open ames or other sources of ignition.
Wash the valve assembly in Cleaning Compound, Solvent and dry thoroughly.

Blow out the passages with compressed air.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install the elbows (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 16 and 21) in the valve.
2.
Position the by-pass valve (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 18) on the bracket and secure with two screws
(WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 17), lockwashers (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 19) and nuts (WP 0016 00, Figure
1, Item 20).
3.
Connect the return assembly (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 7) to the elbow (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 21).
