REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the suction tube assembly (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 4) from the elbow (WP 0016 00, Figure
1, Item 15).
2.
Remove the strainer body (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 14) from the nipple (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 10).
3.
Remove the strainer plug (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 11), gasket (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 13), and
elbow (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 15) from the strainer body (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 14).

CLEANING SOLVENT MIL-PRF-680
Is combustible and toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Wear protective gloves and
goggles/face shield. Avoid repeated or prolonged contact. Use only in well ventilated areas
(or use approved respirator as determined by local safety/industrial hygiene personnel). Keep
away from open ames or other sources of ignition.
Wash all parts in Cleaning Compound, Solvent and dry thoroughly.
TEST AND INSPECTION
1.
Inspect the body for cracks and breaks. Inspect the mesh in the strainer plug for breaks. Inspect all threaded
surfaces for worn or damaged threads.
2.
Replace any defective parts.
SERVICE
1.
Remove the strainer plug (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 11) and gasket (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 13) from
the strainer body (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 14).
2.
Wash the strainer plug in Cleaning Compound, Solvent, to remove all dirt.
3.
Install the strainer plug and gasket in the body.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install the gasket (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 13), strainer plug (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 11) and elbow
(WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 15) in the strainer body (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 14).
2.
Install the strainer body on the nipple (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 10).
3.
Connect the suction tube assembly (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item 4) to the elbow (WP 0016 00, Figure 1, Item
15).
