4-38. HARNESS ASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
9. ELAPSED TIME INDICATOR ETI
REPLACEMENT
NOTE
Elapsed time indicator ETI is being eliminated.
This procedure applies only to an IVD built
with ETI installed.
REMOVAL
a. Remove rear assembly cover (para 4-37).
b. Remove ETI and bracket assembly (1) by
removing two screws (2).
c. Unsolder wires (3) from ETI (1) and bracket
assembly.
d. Insulate unsoldered wires (3) using
insulation sleeving.
e. Ensure that sleeving extends a minimum of
0.25 inch beyond ends of wires.
f. Secure insulated wires (3) to adjacent
wiring or chassis using lacing and tying
tape.
g. Discard ETI and bracket assembly (1) and
screw (2) in accordance with TM 1-1270-
476-23P.
INSTALLATION
h. Have installation inspected.
i. Install rear assembly cover (para 4-37).
