1. PUSHBUTTON SWITCH (LHG S1 S2, AND
S3; RHG S1 S2, S5, AND S7) REPLACEMENT
NOTE
This procedure is for replacing RHG switch S5

REMOVAL
CAUTION
Components inside the RHG contain
electrostatic discharge sensitive (ESDS)
devices. Refer to paragraph 2-8 for handling
requirements before starting this ask to
prevent damage.
a. Grasp faulty switch by steel ring (8) with
plier wrench.
b. Twist switch 1/2 turn each way to break
RTV seal, using plier wrench.
CAUTION
Be careful when pulling faulty switch out of
handgrip. Damage to wires could occur.
c. Pull switch out of handgrip.
d. Tag and unsolder wires (9).
INSTALLATION
CAUTION
Components inside the RHG contain
electrostatic discharge sensitive (ESDS)
devices. Refer to paragraph 2-8 for handling
requirements before starting this task to
prevent damage.
e. Remove old grey RTV from mounting hole
(para 2-6).
f. Solder wires (9) to switch and remove tags.
