3. CATHODE RAY TUBE (CRT) ASSEMBLY
REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Remove vertical output and width regulator
CCA (1 above).
b. Remove video output and focus CCA (2
above).
c. Remove front plate assembly (1) by
removing four screws (2).
d. Remove air vent assembly (3) by removing
six screws (4) and washers (5).
e. Disconnect connector P1 (6).
f. Disconnect connector P3 (7) by loosening
two screwlocks (8).
WARNING
CRT HANDLING
• High vacuum tube-implosion danger exists.
• Don’t: Strike crt neck or face; use undue
pressure when removing or installing CRT;
carry by neck.
• Do: Handle carefully, properly supporting
CRT; wear face shield, rubber gloves, and
rubber apron.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to yoke assembly, use
care when removing and installing CRT
assembly.
