4-29. CONTROL PANEL ASSEMBLY 2A1 REPAIR (cont)
f. Remove resistor R1 (2) by removing jamnut
(9) and lockwasher (10).
g. Cut lacing and tying tape (11) as necessary
to provide enough wire slack for component
replacement.
h. Tag and unsolder wires (12).
INSTALLATION
i. Solder wires (12) to resistor R1 (2) and
remove tags.
j. Install resistor R1 (2) with lockwasher (10)
and jamnut (9). Ensure that resistor
positioning pin seats in notch on control
panel housing (7).
k. Feed panel wires (8) into housing and
install illuminated panel assembly A1 (4)
with two screws (5) and washers (6).
l. Install knob assemblies (1) on shafts of
resistor R1 (2) and resistor R2 (3) and
tighten setscrews.
m. Route wire along wire bundle and install
lacing and tying tape (11) as required to
secure wire bundle.
n. Have installation inspected.
o. Install HOD assembly (1 above).
