4-3. TADS TURRET ASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
NOTE
If the TADS turret assembly is to be exposed
to the environment for any length of time,
environmental dust covers shall be installed.
1. POWER UP TO MOVE AZIMUTH GIMBAL
ASSEMBLY.
a. Verify that brake release power supply
assembly (1) POWER switch (2) is set to
OFF.
b. Press TEST switch (3) and observe TEST
light (4) is lit. If TEST light (3) does not light,
replace batteries (para 6-4).
c. Connect connector P3 (5) of cable
assembly (6) to connector J1 (7) on brake
release power supply assembly (1).
d. Connect connector P1 (8) of cable
assembly (6) to connector J4 (9) on rear of
turret assembly (10).
e. Set POWER switch (2) to ON.
f. Set MODE switch (11) to TADS.
