4-2. TADS TURRET ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT (cont)
WARNING
HEAVY LOAD
• Danger: Heavy load suspended above work
area.
• Don’t: Walk, stand, or work under objects
suspended by the crane.
• Don’t use universal sling assemblies with an
expired load test safety tag.
• Slippage of suspended objects can cause
serious injury or death.
CAUTION
• Ensure that sling assembly straps do not
contact PNVS shroud to prevent damage to
PNVS shroud.
• Ensure that all protective window covers are
installed to prevent damage to windows.
16. Remove replacement turret assembly from
dolly truck assembly (113).
a. Hang universal sling assembly (114) from
lifting device. Adjust the two outside straps
(115) so they are equal in length and the
center strap (116) to approximately 4
inches shorter than the two outside straps.
b. Install universal sling assembly (114) as
shown.
c. Using lifting device, take a slight strain on
universal sling assembly (114) and take out
slack in the center strap (116).
d. Remove four bolts (117) and washers
(118).
e. Remove turret assembly.
f. Loosely install four bolts (117) and washers
(118) removed in d above in proper hole
locations in dolly truck assembly (113).
g. Move dolly truck assembly (113) from work
area.
