k. Remove day sensor shroud assembly (80)
from defective turret assembly (TM 1-1270-
476-20) and place on clean surface.
l. Loosen two screwlocks (81) and disconnect
connector 1A4W1J1 (82) from connector
1A5W1P1 (83) on day sensor assembly
(84).
m. Loosen two screwlocks (85) and disconnect
connector 1A4W1J3 (86) from connector
1A5W1P2 (87) on day sensor assembly
(84).
n. Loosen two screwlocks (88) and disconnect
connector 1A4W1P11 (89) from connector
1A5A1A1J1 (90) on range receiver
assembly (91).
o. Disconnect connector 1A4W1P10 (92) from
connector 1A5A1J1 (93) on LTU assembly
(94).
CAUTION
• The day sensor assembly is bulky and
fragile. Assistant is needed to support the
assembly to prevent damage.
• Optics are exposed when day sensor
assembly is removed. Do not touch or bump
optics. Damage will result.
• Damage to the gimbal clamp assembly can
result if the clamp pin is loosened too far.
Loosen gimbal clamp assembly only far
enough to allow the day sensor assembly to
be removed.
p. Loosen gimbal clamp assembly (95) by
unscrewing clamp pin (96). Have assistant
support day sensor assembly (84).
q. Remove day sensor assembly (84) by
unscrewing clamp pin (96) enough to
spread clamp assembly (95).
