4-2. TADS TURRET ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT (cont)
NOTE
If wire strike protection has been incorporated
perform step 18; otherwise, go to step 20.
18. Remove bolt (119), washer (120) and nut
(121).
19. Install PNVS cutter assembly (TM 1-1270-
476-20) on replacement turret assembly.
20. Carefully remove TADS system decal from
defective turret assembly and install on
replacement turret assembly (TM 1-1270-
476-20).
21. Install PNVS system decal.
a. On defective turret assembly remove
access cover assembly (122) by removing
six screws (123) and washers (124).
b. Remove corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from access cover
assembly mounting hardware (para 2-6).
c. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound to six screws (123). Use
class 1A application (para 2-6).
d. On replacement turret assembly install
access cover assembly (122) using six
washers (124) and screws (123).
22. Install left and right side fairing on
replacement turret assembly (TM 1-1270-
476-20).
