ERECTING STRUT CONTINUED
11. Remove lower tubing and mount half (Figure 2, Item 7).
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
Straighten any bent parts. Weld any cracks.
INSTALLATION
1.
Assemble lower tubing and mount half (Figure 2, Item 7) to bottom of jack screw (Figure 2, Item 10) using
four self-locking cap screws (Figure 2, Item 15).
2.
Assemble upper tubing and mount half (Figure 2, Item 2) to top of screw actuator (Figure 2, Item 14) using
two cap screws (Figure 2, Item 13) and two lock washers for the rear side of screw actuator and two cap
screws and self-locking nuts for the front of the actuator.
3.
Slide upper and lower tubing and mount halves (Figure 2, Item 2 and 7) through the front leg (Figure 2, Item
11) and frame (Figure 2, Item 12) on to adapters (Figure 2, Item 16) in the other halves of the upper and lower
tubing and mount halves (Figure 2, Item 2 and 7).
4.
Connect drive shaft couplings (Figure 2, Item 5).
5.
Secure upper (Figure 2, Item 2) and lower tubing (Figure 2, Item 7) to front leg (Figure 2, Item 11) and frame
(Figure 2, Item 12) using clamps (Figure 2, Item 4 and 9).
6.
Tighten cap screws (Figure 2, Item 3 and 8).
7.
Align holes in upper and lower tubing with holes in adapters (Figure 2, Item 16).
8.
Secure with cap screw (Figure 2, Item 1) and self-locking nut.
