REMOVAL
ERECTING STRUT

Erecting Strut Assembly.
1.
Rotate hand wheel to raise front leg 12 inches. Support securely with safety stands between main frame and
front leg.
2.
Remove cap screw (Figure 2, Item 1) and self-locking nut from left or right upper tubing and mount halves
(Figure 2, Item 2) depending on the jack screw being removed.
3.
Loosen cap screw (Figure 2, Item 3) to release tension on clamp (Figure 2, Item 4). Support drive shaft
(Figure 2, Item 5) to prevent it from falling.
4.
Remove self-locking nut (Figure 2, Item 6) and cap screw from lower tubing and mount half (Figure 2, Item 7).
5.
Loosen cap screw (Figure 2, Item 8) to release tension on clamp (Figure 2, Item 9).
6.
Pull jack screw (Figure 2, Item 10) so that upper and lower tubing mount halves (Figure 2, Item 2 and 7) slide
through front leg (Figure 2, Item 11) and frame (Figure 2, Item 12).
7.
When erecting strut is free from frame and leg, remove two cap screws (Figure 2, Item 13) and two lock
washers from the rear side of screw actuator (Figure 2, Item 14).
8.
Remove two self-locking nuts and cap screws (not shown) from the front of the actuator.
9.
Remove upper tubing and mount half (Figure 2, Item 2).
10. Remove four self-locking cap screws (Figure 2, Item 15) from bottom plate of erecting strut (Figure 2, Item
10).
