Actuate the handle (WP 0004 00, Figure 1, Item 8) to raise the load. If the resistance from the handle is
excessive, relocate the pin assembly (WP 0004 00, Figure 1, Item 5) to shorten the stroke of the socket

Secure the retaining screw in the ram locknut (WP 0002 00, Figure 1, Item 4) when the desired height is
attained.
LOWERING JACK
1.
Loosen the retaining screw in the ram locknut (WP 0002 00, Figure 1, Item 4), turn the locknut to the top of
the ram (WP 0002 00, Figure 1, Item 3), and secure the retaining screw.
2.
Slowly open the release valve (WP 0004 00, Figure 1, Item 6) until the desired lowering rate of speed is
obtained.
3.
After the ram is completely lowered, close the air vent assembly (WP 0004 00, Figure 1, Item 1).
IDENTIFICATION PLATE
The tripod hydraulic jack has a nameplate mounted on the upper end of the cylinder and ram assembly. A rise
indicator decalcomania is located on the side of the cylinder and ram assembly. It indicates the amount of rise
in inches. Air vent and capacity decalcomanias are located on the top side of the pump assembly.
