9. RFI GASKET REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Remove cover (1 above).
b. Remove damaged RFI gasket (1) by cutting
and scraping with a sharp knife.
INSTALLATION
WARNING
TOLUENE AND ACETONE
• Flammable, toxic, irritating. Can cause
breathing problems, eye damage.
• Don’t: Use near flames or sparks, let it get
on skin, or breathe vapors.
• Do: Use in well-ventilated area, close
containers when not using. Wear acid-type
safety goggles and rubber apron.
• If it contacts skin or eyes, wash affected
areas with running water. Get medical help
at once.
• If you experience any breathing problems,
get to fresh air at once.
c. Clean cover groove (2) by wiping with
acetone or toluene.
NOTE
Do not stretch RFI gasket.
d. Gently fit new RFI gasket (1) into cover
groove (2) to determine proper length and
cut ends (3) for splice joint (4) at 45
degrees to each other.
e. Gently remove RFI gasket (1) from cover
groove (2) and clean gasket by wiping with
acetone.
