4-8. OIP RELAY BRACKET ASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
7. TRANSISTOR Q1 REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Tag, unsolder wires, and remove insulation
tubing from transistor Q1 (1).
b. Remove transistor Q1 (1) by removing nut
(2), lockwasher (3), washer (4), two washer
insulators (5), and insulator (6).
INSTALLATION
c. Remove and discard all hardware furnished
with replacement transistor Q1.
d. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from around transistor
Q1 (1) mounting hole (para 2-6).
e. Apply corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound to transistor Q1 (1)
threads (para 2-6). Use class 1A
application.
f. Install transistor Q1 (1) using insulator (6),
two washer insulators (5), washer (4),
lockwasher (3), and nut (2).
g. Install insulation tubing and solder wires to
transistor Q1 (1) terminals and remove
tags.
h. Have installation inspected.
