INSTALLATION
g. Remove old corrosion inhibitive sealing and
coating compound from all mounting
hardware (para 2-6).
h. Install flexible printed cable assembly.
CAUTION
Do not try to bend flexible printed cable unless
heated. Do not overheat. Too much heat will
damage printed cable.
NOTE
A heat source of approximately 200°F is best
to make cable soft and bend easily. Holding
heat gun approximately 5 inches away from
the point you want to heat will usually apply
about 200°F.
(1) Connect P2 end of flexible printed cable
assembly to applicable connector in
postamplifier.
(2) Route cable to preamplifier. Apply heat
with heat gun at each place that
requires a bend, and carefully bend
flexible printed cable to fit against
chassis.
(3) Connect P1 end of flexible printed cable
assembly to applicable connector in
preamplifier.
(4) Install flexible printed cable assemblies
removed for access.
