WATER PUMP - (CONTINUED)
WARNING
The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when using or handling hazardous
materials associated with operating and maintaining equipment (jet fuel, hydraulic luid, brake
luid, ethylene glycol, cleaning solvents, compressed air, and engine/axle oil). Failure to use
PPE when handling these materials could result in injury or death.

Remove engine pulley.

Loosen hose clamp (Figure 1, Item 2) securing red heater hose (Figure 1, Item 1) to water pump outlet
adapter (Figure 1, Item 3), then disconnect hose.
NOTE
4 long and 2 short bolts secure the water pump, note orientation to aid in reinstallation.

Remove 2 short mount bolts (Figure 1, Item 6).
9.
Remove 4 long mount bolts (Figure 1, Item 5) (3 bolts not shown).
10.
Remove water pump (Figure 1, Item 7) and gasket (Figure 1, Item 8).
11.
Clean water pump housing mating surface (Figure 1, Item 4).

INSTALLATION
1. Position gasket (Figure 1, Item 8) on water pump housing (Figure 1, Item 7) and pre-install 2 short mount
bolts (Figure 1, Item 6) to hold gasket in position.
2. Position water pump/gasket on housing (Figure 1, Item 4) and snug up the 2 pre-installed bolts.
3. Install 4 long mount bolts (Figure 1, Item 5) (3 bolts not shown) and snug.
4. Tighten 6 mount bolts (Figure 1, Item 5 and 6).
5. Install red heater hose (Figure 1, Item 1) to water pump outlet adapter (Figure 1, Item 3) and secure with
hose clamp (Figure 1, Item 2).
7. Install engine fan belt and adjust tension (WP 0041).
10. Perform Maintenance Operation Check.
