CREW PROTECTION SYSTEM (CPS) DOOR WINDOW - (CONTINUED)
INSTALLATION
WARNING
Primers and sealants are extremely toxic. They can irritate skin and cause burns. Avoid
inhaling. Use proper ventilation and protective clothing, including eye shield. Avoid contact
with skin, eyes, or clothing. In case of contact, immediately lush skin or eyes with water for
at least 15 minutes.
NOTE
To ensure a uniform appearance, mask area to be primed prior to applying primer.
1.
Clean window mount area of door and apply pinchweld primer 5404A (WP 0156 Item 63) around inner edge
of mount area. Allow the primer to dry a minimum of six minutes.
NOTE
To prevent water accumulation or intrusion, apply a bead of adhesive along top edge of window
assembly.
Ensure adhesive bead is uniform and has no gaps: add material or tool joints, if necessary.
While holding the applicator in a vertical position; apply glass sealant U-400HV (WP 0156 Item 64) with a

continuous motion in a uniform "V" shaped bead around outer edge of window assembly (Figure 1, Item 2).

Install window assembly (Figure 1, Item 3) from exterior side of door (Figure 1, Item 2).
4.
Install four bolts (Figure 1, Item 4) and four nuts (Figure 1, Item 1) through window assembly to secure to
door.
5.
Allow sealant to cure according to temperature cure chart (Table 1).
