CREW PROTECTION SYSTEM (CPS) CAB - (CONTINUED)
TEST AND INSPECTION
Prior to installation, inspect CPS cab assembly for corrosion, weld cracks, bends, and condition of material
used to prevent metal to metal contact.
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
1. Install four nuts (Figure 1, Item 3) onto four ring bolts (Figure 1, Item 1).
2. Thread four ring bolts (Figure 1, Item 1) into threaded boss at each corner on top of CPS cab (Figure 1, Item
2) until tight. Align ring bolt hole perpendicular to ground, then tighten nut (Figure 1, Item 3) against cab
inger tight.
WARNING
CPS cab weighs 330 lbs. Ensure proper lifting device is used to lift CPS cab.

Connect four legs of lifting sling to four ring bolts (Figure 1, Item 1) installed on the outside of CPS cab.
4.
Lift the CPS cab ensuring CPS cab is level front to back and side to side.
CAUTION
Ensure rear mounting tubing (Figure 4, Item 2) of CPS cab (Figure 4, Item 1) is aligned inside
of C-channel (Figure 4, Item 3) on Standard Aircraft Towing System (SATS).

Slowly lower CPS cab (Figure 4, Item 1) onto SATS (Figure 4, Item 6) ensuring front (Figure 4, Item 5) and
rear mounting holes (Figure 4, Item 4) of CPS cab (Figure 4, Item 1) are aligned with mounting holes of
SATS (Figure 4, Item 6) on driver and passenger side.
