SERVICE BRAKES TROUBLESHOOTING - (CONTINUED)
BRANCH 1.
1.
Check brake stop light switch adjustment (WP 0081).
CONDITION/INDICATION
Is brake stop light switch in adjustment?
DECISION
YES Replace switch (WP 0081) or repair faulty wiring.
NO Proceed to Step 2.
MALFUNCTION - BRANCH 2.
MALFUNCTION - Brake stop light switch out of adjustment.
ACTION
2.  Adjust brake switch (WP 0081).
END OF TEST
TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
BRAKE STOP LIGHTS WILL NOT ILLUMINATE, BRAKE PEDAL ACTUATED
BRANCH 1.
1.
Ohms check fuse 13 (FO-1, Item 58) for continuity (WP 0122).
CONDITION/INDICATION
Does fuse have continuity?
DECISION
YES Proceed to Step 2.
NO Replace defective fuse 13 (WP 0122).
BRANCH 2.
2.
With engine start switch in the run position (engine not running) and the brake pedal pressed check for 12
volts at wire 102 (FO-1, Line 62) on the brake stop light switch, LS-SL (WP 0072).
CONDITION/INDICATION
Is 12 volts present?
DECISION
YES Proceed to Step 3.
NO Replace defective stop light switch (WP 0081) or repair faulty wiring (FO-1, Line 62).
BRANCH 3.
3.
With engine start switch in the run position (engine not running) and the brake pedal pressed check for 12
volts at wires 106 and 107 (FO-1, Lines 65 and 66) at the brake stop lights.
