REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
1.
Check brake drum surface (Figure 2, Item 6) and lining (Figure 2, Item 7) for wear or evidence of grease.
WARNING
Degreasing solvent may be toxic. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid prolonged inhalation
of fumes or direct contact with the skin. Do not use solvent near open flame or in an area where
very high temperatures prevail.
2.
Clean with Cleaning Compound, Solvent or replace wheel or brake lining as necessary.
3.
Check brake assembly for loose, missing or damaged parts.
INSTALLATION
1.
Spread shoe assembly and position with cam between wear plates on shoe assembly.
2.
Install compression spring (Figure 2, Item 5) and clip (Figure 2, Item 3) into shoe assembly.
3.
Push on compression spring (Figure 2, Item 5) and clip (Figure 2, Item 3) and then insert spring pin (Figure 2,
Item 4) through clip and into groove on back side of mounting plate (Figure 2, Item 2).
4.
Install tension spring (Figure 2, Item 1) on shoe assembly.
5.
Install Wheel Assembly.
