4-45. LASER ELECTRONICS UNIT (LEU) HARNESS ASSEMBLY W1 REPAIR (cont)
1. HARNESS ASSEMBLY W1 REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Remove 20 screws (1) and washers (2)
securing bottom cover (3) to LEU case (4).
Remove bottom cover (3) and discard
preformed packing (5).
b. Remove seven screws (6), washers (7),
and 14 nylon washers (8) securing
motherboard (9) to LEU case (4).
CAUTION
Use care when raising motherboard to access
connectors. Avoid excessive strain on wiring
harness.
c. Raise motherboard (9) to access
connectors P1 (10), P2 (11), and P3 (12).
d. Loosen two screwlocks (13) and disconnect
connector P3 (12) from connector J3 (14).
e. Loosen two screwlocks (15) and disconnect
connector P2 (11) from connector J2 (16).
f. Loosen two screwlocks (17) and disconnect
connector P1 (10) from connector J1 (18).
g. Place motherboard (9) on protected
surface.
