4-7. RELAY BRACKET ASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
5. DIODE CR1 REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Remove old heat shrinkable insulation
sleeving from two wires (1) connected to
relay K1 (2) terminal hooks (3).
b. Tag and unsolder wires (1) from relay K1
(2) terminal hooks (3).
c. Unsolder diode CR1 (4) leads from relay K1
(2) terminal hooks (3).
INSTALLATION
d. Cut replacement length required diode
leads to for installation.
e. Install insulation tubing over each diode
lead.
f. Connect replacement diode CR1 (4) leads
to relay K1 (2) terminal hooks (3). Ensure
banded end is installed on relay terminal
X1.
g. Install heat shrinkable insulation sleeving
on two wires (1) and push splices on wire
lead out of way for soldering.
h. Connect wires (1) to relay K1 (2) and solder
both terminal hooks (3). Remove tags.
i. Position heat shrinkable insulation sleeving
over terminal hooks (3).
CAUTION
When applying heat to heat shrinkable
insulation sleeving, take care to avoid
damaging other components with excessive
heat.
j. Using heat gun, shrink heat shrinkable
insulation sleeving, around terminal hooks
(3).
k. Have installation inspected.
