CREW PROTECTION SYSTEM (CPS) DASH - (CONTINUED)

Label and disconnect seven wires from AFB (Figure 3, Item 5).
c.
Remove screw (Figure 3, Item 6) and nut (Figure 3, Item 20) from L/H side of AFB (Figure 3, Item 5).
d.
Remove screw (Figure 3, Item 4), harness clamp (Figure 3, Item 24), lat washer (Figure 3, Item 23),
and nut (Figure 3, Item 22) from R/H side of AFB (Figure 3, Item 5).
e.
Remove AFB (Figure 3, Item 5) through inboard side of CPS dash (Figure 3, Item 1).

ASSEMBLY
1. Install Wiper/Washer Switch (W/W SW):
a. Place W/W SW (Figure 3, Item 13) through inboard side of CPS dash (Figure 3, Item 1) and install jam
nut (Figure 3, Item 12) on shaft and tighten jam nut.
b. Place knob (Figure 3, Item 11) on end of shaft and tighten set-screw.
c. Connect ive wires (Figure 3, Item 16) on W/W SW (Figure 3, Item 13).
2. Install Heater Control Panel (HCP):
a. Place HCP (Figure 3, Item 8) through inboard side of CPS dash (Figure 3, Item 1) and install four screws
(Figure 3, Item 7) and four nuts (Figure 3, Item 19) in corners of HCP.
b. Connect CPS harness connector (Figure 3, Item 15) to TCD connector (Figure 3, Item 14).
c. Connect ive wires to FC SW (Figure 3, Item 9).
3. Install Auxiliary Fuse Block (AFB):
a. Place AFB (Figure 3, Item 5) through inboard side of CPS dash (Figure 3, Item 1) and install screw
(Figure 3, Item 6) and nut (Figure 3, Item 20) on L/H side.
b. Connect seven wires (Figure 3, Item 21) to AFB (Figure 3, Item 5).
c. Install screw (Figure 3, Item 4), harness clamp (Figure 3, Item 24), lat washer (Figure 3, Item 23), and
nut (Figure 3, Item 22) on R/H side of AFB (Figure 3, Item 5).

INSTALLATION
CAUTION
Ensure all wiring is properly connected prior to installing CPS dash.
1.
Connect washer tubing (Figure 3, Item 17 and 28) to driver and passenger side washer nozzles
(Figure 3, Item 18 and 27).
2.
Connect CPS W/H connector (Figure 3, Item 29) to wiper motor connector (Figure 3, Item 30).
3.
Secure passenger-side tubing to wiper motor mount with tie-strap.
4.
Ensure CPS W/H C/P (Figure 3, Item 3) and washer tubing QD (Figure 3, Item 2) are in cut-out
(Figure 3, Item 25) and outside of CPS dash (Figure 3, Item 1).
5.
Close CPS dash (Figure 2, Item 1) and install ive screws (Figure 2, Item 2).
6.
Remove protective covers from both CPS W/H CP (Figure 1, Item 4) and SATS C/P (Figure 1, Item 5).
7.
Connect CPS W/H C/P (Figure 1, Item 4) to SATS C/P (Figure 1, Item 5) on steering plate (Figure 1, Item 1).
8.
Connect windshield washer tubing QD (Figure 1, Item 3) to resevoir supply tubing (Figure 1, Item 6) on
steering plate (Figure 1, Item 1).
9.
Perform Maintenance Operation Check.
