SERVICE UPON RECEIPT OF MATERIEL
UNPACKING
1.
Remove all restraining straps.
2.
Use lifting rings on frame to lower platform to ground.
3.
Unstrap hand rails and platform rails.
4.
Perform initial inventory.
a.
Check the equipment against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete.
b.
Report all discrepancies in accordance with instructions in DA PAM 738-751.
CHECKING UNPACKED EQUIPMENT
1.
Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If the equipment has been damaged report
damage on DD Form 6 , Packaging Improvement Report.
2.
Check the equipment against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in
accordance with instructions in DA PAM 738-751.
3.
Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.
INSTALLATION
Handrails and Platform
1.
Insert handrails (WP 0015 00, Figure 1, Item 4 ) into base flanges (WP 0015 00, Figure 3, Item 3 ).
2.
Install six squarehead setscrews (WP 0015 00, Figure 1, Item 2 ) into base flanges (WP 0015 00, Figure 1,
Item 3 ) and tighten.
PRELIMINARY SERVICING OF EQUIPMENT
1.
Inspect the structure for damaged parts (WP 0011 00, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services
(PMCS), Including Lubrication Instructions ).
2.
Inspect the attaching parts (loose nuts, cap screws, and setscrews) ( WP 0015 00, Work Platform ).
3.
Inspect the surface for scratches. Paint as necessary (WP 0015 00, Work Platform ).
