OVERVIEW
This chapter provides instructions for maintenance of the following TADS assemblies and their
subassemblies: night sensor assembly (NSA), day sensor assembly (DSA), television (TV) sensor
assembly, laser transceiver unit (LTU) assembly, day sensor shroud assembly, night sensor shroud
assembly, control panel assembly, left and right handgrip (LHG, RHG) assemblies, indirect view display
(IVD) electronics assembly, TADS electronic unit (TEU) assembly, TADS power supply assembly, and
laser electronic unit (LEU) assembly. The index at the beginning of each section provides paragraph
references to the material contained within the section. When a nonconsumable item is replaced, the
unserviceable item must be packed in the container that the replacement item was shipped. Refer to TM
1-1270-476-20 for packing and unpacking instructions.
