4-26. NIGHT SENSOR SHROUD ASSEMBLY REPAIR (cont)
3. ANTI-ICE HEATER HR3 REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
a. Cut lacing and tying tape (1) from wiring as
required.
b. Tag and cut wires (2) on far side of splice
(3) from anti-ice heater HR3 (4).
c. Peel anti-ice heater HR3 (4) off shroud
assembly (5).
INSTALLATION
d. Remove old liquid adhesive from shroud
assembly (5) (para 2-6).
e. Apply liquid adhesive to shroud assembly
(5) and anti-ice heater HR3 (4) (para 2-6).
f. Position anti-ice heater HR3 (4) on shroud
assembly (5) and press into place. Be sure
to work out all trapped air.
CAUTION
When applying heat to heat shrinkable
insulation sleeving, take care to avoid
damaging other components with excessive
heat.
g. Cut heater wires (2) to correct length.
Splice heater wires to shroud wires, using
hot air shrinkable conductor splices (3)
(items 58 and 59). Use item 50 to splice
three or more wires. Remove tags.
h. Have installation inspected.
i. Install lacing and tying tape (1) on wiring as
required.
