CREW PROTECTION SYSTEM (CPS) REAR WINDOW - (CONTINUED)
INSTALLATION
WARNING
Primers and sealants are extremely toxic. They can irritate skin and cause burns. Avoid
inhaling. Use proper ventilation and protective clothing, including eye shield. Avoid contact
with skin, eyes, or clothing. In case of contact, immediately lush skin or eyes with water for
at least 15 minutes.
1.
Clean replacement rear window (Figure 1, Item 2) and apply glass primer 5500SA (WP 0156 Item 62) along
the bond line. Allow the primer to dry a minimum of six minutes.
NOTE
To ensure a uniform appearance, mask area to be primed prior to applying primer.

Clean CPS cab mount area and apply pinchweld primer 5404A (WP 0156 Item 63) to mounting surface.
Allow the primer to dry a minimum of six minutes.
NOTE
To prevent water accumulation or intrusion, apply a bead of sealant along top edge of window
assembly.
Ensure sealant bead is uniform and has no gaps: add material or tool joints, if necessary.
While holding the applicator in a vertical position; apply glass sealant U- 400HV (WP 0156 Item 64) with a

continuous motion in a uniform "V" shaped bead around outer edge of rear window (Figure 1, Item 2).

Place rear window (Figure 1, Item 2) in CPS cab (Figure 1, Item 1) mount area and lightly press into position.
5.
Temporarily secure rear window (Figure 1, Item 2) and allow sealant to cure according to temperature
cure chart (Table 1).
