IMMOBILIZING AND MOBILIZING - CONTINUED
1.
To immobilize the Maintenance Platform, operate the four immobilizing jack ratchets (Figure 1, Item 1) to
lower the jack screws (Figure 1, Item 2) until the wheels are off the ground and the platform is level.
2.
To mobilize the Maintenance Platform, operate the four immobilizing jack ratchets (Figure 1, Item 1) to raise
the jack screws (Figure 1, Item 2) until the wheels are on the ground and jackscrews (Figure 1, Item 2) are
retracted completely.
POSITIONING MAINTENANCE PLATFORM
1.
Tow platform until it is next to the aircraft to be worked on.
2.
Remove locking pins from top of front wheel mounts.
3.
Turn wheels one quarter turn and install locking pins.
4.
Push platform sideways until it is in position at the aircraft.
5.
Perform Ground and Unground Platform procedure.
6.
Immobilize platform by performing Immobilizing and Mobilizing procedure.
7.
Raise to proper working level by performing Raise Work Platform by Hand or Raise Work Platform With
Power Tool procedure.

1.
To ground the Maintenance Platform, pull cable (Figure 2, Item 1) from static discharge reel (Figure 2, Item
4) and connect one alligator clip (Figure 2, Item 2) to earth ground and the other alligator clip (Figure 2, Item
3) to ground connection on the platform.
2.
To unground the Maintenance Platform, disconnect the alligator clips (Figure 2, Item 2) and (Figure 2, Item
3) from the ground on the platform and earth ground; store cable by winding onto the static discharge reel
(Figure 2, Item 4).
