6. LIQUID ADHESIVE
WARNING
ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL
Flammable, toxic, irritating. Can cause
breathing problems, eye damage.
Dont: Use near flames or sparks, let it get in
eyes, or breathe vapors.
Do: Use in well-ventilated area, close
containers when not using. Wear acid-type
safety goggles, rubber gloves, and rubber
apron.
If it contacts eyes, wash eyes with running
water. get medical help at once.
If you experience any breathing problems,
get to fresh air at once.
WARNING
LIQUID ADHESIVE AND
TRICHLOROTRIFLUOROETHANE
Toxic, irritating. Can cause breathing
problems, eye damage.
Dont: Let it get on skin, or breathe vapors.
Do: Use in well-ventilated area, close
containers when not using. Wear acid-type
safety goggles, rubber gloves, and rubber
apron.
If it contacts skin or eyes, wash affected
areas with running water. Get medical help
at once.
If you experience any breathing problems,
get to fresh air at once.
WARNING
NITROGEN
Asphyxiant: Nitrogen displaces oxygen. in a
confined area, it can cause death by
suffocation or serious injury.
Use only in a well-ventilated area.
If you experience shortness of breath or an
increase in heart rate, get to fresh air at
once.
REMOVAL
a. Remove cured adhesive as follows:
(1) Sand surface with 180 grit abrasive
paper.
(2) Scrape surface with knife.
(3) Clean surface with cloth and
trichloroethane.
(4) Blow dry with clean, dry oil-free air or
nitrogen.
APPLICATION (Work life is 45 minutes after
mixing at 67° to 87°F.)
b. Wipe surfaces with cloth and
trichlorotrifluoroethane.
c. Mix 3 parts base and 1 part hardener by
weight.
d. Apply adhesive with knife or putty knife to
both surfaces to be bonded.
NOTE
Remove excess uncured adhesive using a
cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
